Global Hope is staffed entirely by volunteers, and supported by individual and corporate donations and sponsorship.
Elsewhere in this website, you can learn about the projects that we have done in the past, and the projects that we are currently pursuing, and you can get a feel for how the concept of direct giving is central to the way we operate.
We have a talented and motivated core team of volunteers, but in order to continue to expand our reach, we would like to enlist more help. We need help within our organization and we can use volunteers to join us in the field. We can use donations of materials for specific projects, and we promise that your financial donations will be used almost entirely for direct giving, with the absolute minimum being spent on our administrative expenses.

Volunteer Opportunities on Our Next Service Trip to New Orleans
Following the success of our January and April 2008 service trips to New Orleans' Lower Ninth Ward, we are planning further trips, most likely in Fall 2008 and early in 2009. We will post details here as the dates become firm. We invite you to join us, and we can almost guarantee you will work your socks off, have a lot of fun, and it may even be a life-changing experience!
We anticipate needing volunteers with a variety of construction skills, including framing, finish carpentry, painting, flooring, drywall, and roofing and we especially need the help of licensed electricians and plumbers.
If you have construction management skills and are also able to join us on the service trips, we can use your help to coordinate the work of the volunteers.

Volunteer Opportunities in Chicago-area Projects
We are also planning some smaller projects in the Chicago area. These will be organized as weekend work. We expect to be undertaking small construction projects, as well as building and landscape maintenance projects. We are currently identifying target projects.

Other Ways to Support our Planned Service Projects
We also need:
- We badly need the use of a 20ft box truck to transport tools, supplies and donations items to our project sites.
- Donations of building supplies and tools. As the specific requirements for identified projects becomes known we will post them here.
- We need the donation or loan of a 5000 watt generator.
- Financial support for materials, supplies, dumpster rentals etc.
- Rental Car discounts, gasoline cards, gift cards or any travel certificates to help offset expenses of skilled volunteers.
PR Support for the Global Hope Organization
We have a strong, dedicated, and energized board of directors at Global Hope that keeps the organization and the projects moving forwards. We would like to enlist the help of a volunteer PR professional who can write press releases as well as copy for our website and for printed collateral.
