About Global Hope

Our Mission

We are Global Hope, Inc. – a 501(3)(c) not-for-profit organization whose sole purpose is to assist and empower those in need.  Here, there and everywhere, we reach out to people and communities who face hardship.

We are here to lighten the load of those facing challenges and adversity.  We are committed to promoting happiness and well-being and, ultimately, to contributing to a greater experience of peace in our world. We are Global Hope – a group of dedicated volunteers whose combined efforts embody “Goodwill in Motion”.

Our Vision

• To assist individuals and communities in need by raising funds – through corporate sponsorship, individual donations and fundraising events
• Improving the quality and conditions of the lives of those in need
• Creating the opportunity to experience the art of giving through volunteering
• Creating the opportunity to experience community and friendship – for both those in need and volunteers alike

History
The idea surfaced at a yoga retreat at the Good Hope Plantation in Jamaica.  All agreed it was time to “take yoga off the mat and out into the world”.  Through the desire to alleviate suffering in the world – and with the intention of truly making a difference – was born the service organization known as “Global Hope”.  In 2006, that circle of founding members had a vision.  They saw a happier world where people were smiling rather than suffering – and they saw their role in bringing that potential to life.

To date Global Hope, Inc., a 501(3)(c) not-for-profit organization, holds their vision firmly in place.
